We're not really acquainted, but since you feel free to address me informally, I'll respond to you in kind. 

Why do you wish to see me at the convention?  So the militarized domestic police can beat me to a pulp for raising my voice?

Perhaps you wish to send me to a detention center, or have me interrogated because I've been exercising free speech some lately?

No thank you. If i do come to the convention, it will be to protest the increasingly lawless and reckless behavior of your husband's regime.

And they certainly made a mistake. The event was a flop, thanks to their lack of intelligence and good taste.  Having "Like A Dog To His Vomit" as the theme song for the event would have been so much better than having Matt "Creator of the Simpsons" Groening there. 

Oh well. Their loss.
