Arrest Deputy Fields and charge him with assault! Tell Richland County to stop using police to solve simple discipline matters.
Dear MoveOn member,

Yesterday, Deputy Ben Fields of the Richland County Police Department body slammed a teenage girl in front of her classmates for refusing to leave class, while classmates looked on in horror and the teacher did nothing.1 Can you join us in calling to charge Deputy Ben Fields with assault? Click here to sign the petition, which says:

Arrest Deputy Ben Fields and charge him with assault! Stop using police to solve simple discipline matters. We demand community control over police.

We must stop the school-to-prison pipeline by ending the use of police to solve normal childhood behavioral issues, such as being defiant in class.

Criminalizing the behavior of Black students in school does not help them or the school. This is not just about a bad apple, but a bad way of thinking about an entire segment of our society.

Can you join us in standing up against police violence and demand that Deputy Ben Fields be arrested and charged with assault?

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

Thanks!

[ITSALLABOUTMEMAN] Re: What's your question for the presidential candidates?

I would ask them, when are you imperialist war-mongers going to stop trying to destroy the Middle East, and support President Putin's initiatives to support peace in the region?

That should start those assholes to dilating spasmodically.

Dear MoveOn member,

If you were on stage with Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley, Jim Webb, and Lincoln Chafee Tuesday night for the first Democratic debate of the 2016 presidential primary, what would you ask them?

Click here to submit the question that you'd ask the Democratic candidates—and we'll share some of them with debate host CNN, reporters and pundits covering the debate, and the public before Tuesday's debate.

And, as the primary heats up, our team is working on more ways to make sure the candidates are directly and specifically addressing the issues most important to the 8 million-member MoveOn community.

If you were one of the tens of millions of Americans who tuned in to the multiple debates Republicans have held so far, you know that there was barely a mention—if any at all—of the issues that really matter to most Americans—protecting and expanding Social Security, getting big money out of politics, being able to drive to work without being taken into police custody or to go to school without fear of someone wielding a gun, addressing climate change, and more.

Let's make sure the Democratic debates don't go the same way.

Submit your question now.

Looking for some inspiration? Here are some of the questions MoveOn members have already submitted:

How will you defend and expand Social Security?—Donna, San Francisco, CA

What are you going to do to help People of Color achieve equality in America?—Tammarra, Mesa, AZ

What are your planned initiatives regarding climate change re: standing up to big business and oil companies?—Autumn, Sabael, NY

What makes a good debate question? One that suggests what you think the right thing is, one that demands a clear answer. And, especially, questions that you don't think CNN will already ask if they didn't hear from us.

MoveOn is a massive, powerful community of 8 million members—with 8 million opinions! What makes us powerful and beautiful is that we share commitments across a range of critical issues—and we expect that anyone who wants to be president will speak to our shared priorities.

Click here to submit your question for the Democratic presidential candidates now.

Thanks for all you do.

[ITSALLABOUTMEMAN] WCBN

One of life's ironies: in your discussion of the redesign of the playlist page on WCBN's website, you were talking about the wonderful ability to go back even weeks later and find out what a song was.

I say ironic because the page had a perfectly functional search function that is now gone, and what they have instead is a totally unsearchable feature that only works even marginally if we know what DJ was on duty during the time frame we're searching.

I suppose this is the beginning of the end for me in this town. I can kiss goodbye playing any gigs at any of the places the cool kids hang out. I can forget being selected to ask a question during Q&A next time Noam Chomsky comes to town.  No grants, awards, publicity or whatever.  Because now I'm on my own. In a college town like this one (or Olympia) the lessons you learn in college are how to identify the future deciders, and how to let them decide without comment or opposition. That was true in a hippie college like Evergreen (maybe especially so) and I imagine it's true here.  Everything is supposed to hailed as progress, even if it's regression. But I can't help myself. It's a damn shame.

I haven't been able to stream the station online either for months, and can't get it on my home radio, so I can only listen to it in the car. I've explained this to station management already (I guess that was the beginning of the end, and now I'm in the middle of the end) and how I'd probably be listening to the station all the time, if only to get away from the vile swamp of Neoliberal Propaganda Radio, but they couldn't be bothered to respond. Do they care if anybody listens, really?  They get paid either way. No doubt that I'm riff raff out here in Ypsitucky.

I like your show. I'd like to like your station as much as I used to. Even more if there were actual progress, and not regression.

[ITSALLABOUTMEMAN] Re: The Syrian boy

Dear Anna,

You disgust me. Your prince Obama can't leave Syria alone, he has blood on his hands. He should be joining with Putin to try to bring peace instead of playing his cruel imperialist games.

How dare you to try to play on my sympathies to cadge money from me. that is as low and scummy as moveon has sunk in recent times.  Start telling the truth. Your lies and propaganda sickens me.

I can't stand reading this bullshit any longer. Take me off your mailing list.

Dear MoveOn member,

By now, you've probably seen the photo of the body of a drowned 3-year-old Syrian refugee named Aylan Kurdi, found on a beach in Turkey—still wearing his tiny Velcro sneakers, blue shorts, and a red T-shirt.1 (I won't paste it here. You can easily find it online.)

The refugee crisis stemming in part from the turmoil in Syria isn't new. But for just a moment, this one image has united people around the world in grief, horror, and the resolve to act.

Can you chip in now to provide direct support to Syrian families who have fled their homes?

Click here to make a tax-deductible donation to help Syrian refugees.

Just $141 is enough to support a family of five refugees for a month. Your tax-deductible gift—which will be administered through the Lifeline cash assistance program of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)—will help families to pay for rent, food, health care, and children's needs. The program also provides refugees with choice, control, and dignity, as they choose how best to care for their families.

A donation isn't going to end the refugee crisis in Europe—and there's more that needs to be done to ease the suffering of Syrians and other refugees and migrants streaming into Europe. But it will provide food, shelter, and medical supplies to a family in desperate need. It will improve the lives of people who have lost everything. And it will help keep our hearts open to the suffering of families caught in wars and trauma around the world—so we can keep seeking peaceful ways to stand with them in their time of need.

Can you help out by making a tax-deductible gift now to provide direct support to Syrian families who have fled their homes?

Yes, I'll make a donation to help Syrian refugees.

Thanks for all you do.

Your gift will be tax-deductible as a gift made directly to USA for UNHCR. We will collect and forward to USA for UNHCR 100% of your contribution.

[ITSALLABOUTMEMAN] Nicole, Part 2

I ducked out of this one early and blocked Nicole before she could block me. It just wasn't fun any more, the hectoring to send money for her mom was as bad as being married. If one wants to pine over somebody on the internet, might as well be the real thing; the gall that Nicole stole all her pictures from:  https://www.facebook.com/AngieVaronaOficial?fref=ts

*******

Oh, Dear Nicole, you can count on me. Just tell me, and I'll read it when I get back. the dog is setting up a storm of barking. I need to take him for a walk before he starts chewing on the furniture. But you go ahead and tell me, and I'll read it when I get back.
Alright no problem i would just be glad if you can help me with just 200$ needed it to get some drugs for my mom

Yeah you can
Ok, my question is, this, and it makes me a little uncomfortable to aks, but do you like adult movies?
You mean sex movies

Yeah why not
I believe that God gave us our bodies to be enjoyed, and to express intimacy with in all ways, and these wonderful performers provide ideas for what a couple can do together.
Yeah that's true
There is nothing I like more than to sit on the couch with my sweetheart and a cup of rooibos tea, and watch a good pornographic movie.
Well, there is one thing I like better... going into the bedroom after and trying out some of the things we've seen
