I was among the. This money was given in cash to the General and was told to share it to us please keep this to yourself for the sake of my job and my reputations no one should know or hear about this am telling you, this because i have no other means and i do not have any surviving family.

We were advised by our General to dispatch the money from the camp on time because the United States Over viewing Security check on our camp time to time, and this might be in 6 days time and we are not allowed to keep money in the camp. my fear is that this money cannot be safe in this camp because we are not allowed to keep cash. My thought was,Who do I send it to, who can i trust to keep it for me safely? fate brought us together for a purpose. I strongly believe in my heart that you are not going to betray my trust, just have less than few months to leave the Army.

The money is handed over to me in cash and the moment i started thinking who will keep this for me when i have my share of the money,i thought of sending this email to your address , I nursed no fear, I felt no doubt, I believe that it will be safe with you. There won't be any problem, all you need to do is receive the money through a diplomat and safe keep it until I come over for my share i will offer you 30% of the total money, after this mission is over as soonest.

i don't want you to say a word about this to anyone please am writing you this message with so much trust, but also scared and i need to let my fears leave me and i did that because i want you to keep this money for the betterment of our lives in the future; the only problem will be when you tell people because they will want to steal the money from you by all means. would you safe guard the money for us? our medical supply team will be coming in 4 days time, all I need to do is hand over the save box, that i kept the money with a Red Cross man, I will carefully wrap the money in an ultra violet material and safely place in a metal box used for our medical supply by the Red Cross and it will get to you. I can plead with the flight accompanying diplomat from the Red Cross that clears our medical supply to left
it out of our base, so he could deposit it in a shipping company well known to him to deliver it to you,how secretive i am about this save box i will not tell the Red Cross man what is inside the box for security purpose and for my own good.

It's nice to hear from you. It sure would be nice if these NPR Public Insight Networks would invite citizen participation into things that really matter, for example,

"Hey Matt, we are considering breaking the longstanding NPR blacklist of Noam Chomsky, and interviewing him. We don't know what will happen if we do that, but we want to give people exposure to new ideas."

And I'd probably say, "Wow, Katherine, I think that would be pretty nifty. The world's greatest living intellectual lives among us, it would really be quite cool for the American people to benefit from his perspective."

Instead, you write to me all the way up here in Michigan (and I'm not sure why) but you ask me if have any plans to stay somewhere I've never heard of in a state I've only ever visited once.  I guess it's legitimate to want to know, the capitalist enterprise must grind on, and indeed, grinding down anybody in it's path.

When I was younger, I enjoyed hearing people like John Ciardi on NPR. Having read his translation of Dante's Inferno when I was still younger, I appreciated the opportunity to listen to his greatness. I was poor then, but I felt I could be in the club. It had a pacifying effect.

Now on NPR I hear neoliberal idiots mocking people they regard to be stupider and more bigoted than they are (the rural poor).  This doesn't have a pacifying effect on me, or I would imagine, anybody else, except perhaps Clinton voters that didn't feel compelled to hold their noses when they cast their votes.

You people should try to learn from recent history, you know what they say about people who can't do that.

Have a blessed day.

[ITSALLABOUTMEMAN] Breaking the silence

I got into a conflict with one of our resident Democratic Party explainers a few weeks ago. After he refused to apologize for calling me an alt-right and Trump supporter, i put him on moderated status.  I put through anything he posted, but apparently even this slight inhibition of his ability to slander and insult (personal attacks on other group members are one of the very few things prohibited here) because he sent me a personal email, calling me a Nazi, holding me personally responsible for decline in activity in this group (failing to see that Yahoo across the company including their groups have been in trouble for years. Furthermore,I have been so low-impact in the role I'll bet 98% of you didn't even know I'm a moderator). He even showed his political maturity by making fun of my name!  In conclusion, he said he was leaving the group. I didn't try to talk him out of it, but I did ask him for his permission in sharing his email with the group, but he declined, and I respected that.

Surely if he were still around he would have taken the following as proof that I am everything he says. So many liberals suffer from an irony deficiency that I believe in giving their diet a healthy supplement of it. I hope you find it funny, I intended it to be. And I hope you all will sign my petition.

[ITSALLABOUTMEMAN] Re: FW: ** Official vote re Electoral College **

Hey you disgusting lying propagandists, the Party of the Clintons is becoming worse than the Republicans, what an amazing and despicable achievement.  You should read this article but I'll bet you won't:

Progressives: Stop Blaming the Russians

Photo by thierry hermann | CC BY 2.0

Photo by thierry hermann | CC BY 2.0

This week began with a mass email from the head of the Democratic National Committee, who declared: "By now, Americans know beyond any reasonable doubt that the Russian government orchestrated a series of cyberattacks on political campaigns and organizations over the past two years and used stolen information to influence the presidential campaign and congressional races." DNC chair Donna Brazile went on: "The integrity of our elections is too important for Congress to refuse to take these attacks seriously."

The importance of election integrity had eluded Brazile when she was a regular on CNN, posing as neutral in the Clinton-Sanders battle. "Brazile is not apologizing for leaking CNN debate questions and topics to the Hillary Clinton campaign during the Democratic primary," the Washington Post reported last month. "Her only regret, it seems, is that she got caught."

Many big factors affect any presidential race, and the Russian government may have tried to be one of them for the 2016 election — though it's hardly the slam dunk that agencies like the CIA and U.S. mass media are now claiming. But in any event, this month it has become routine for a lot of progressive organizations and individuals to descend into a dangerous mode of partisan flackery.

Less than two weeks ago — as soon as unnamed CIA sources told journalists that the Kremlin was behind hacks of DNC and Clinton campaign emails — a wide range of progressive online groups, activists and commentators reflexively embraced the dominant media spin. High profile among them was MoveOn, which used its big digital footprint to spur the frenzy.

MoveOn matter-of-factly decried the "chilling news" of "Russia's election tampering." And, without a hint of media literacy, the group also informed its readers that "news broke that the Russian president himself was involved in the efforts to influence our November election — in favor of Donald Trump."

Such eagerness to share undocumented spin as absolute fact has led many progressive groups to go with knee-jerk reactions. Bent on gaining a propaganda advantage over Trump, those reactions are helping to stampede this country toward a modern form of McCarthyism — as well as brinkmanship with Russia that could lead to a cataclysmic military conflict.

Zeal to blame Russia for a bad election outcome has spread like contagion among countless self-described progressives, understandably appalled by the imminent Trump presidency. But those who think they're riding a helpful tiger could find themselves devoured later on.

If civil liberties instead of repression and diplomacy instead of war are progressive values, then all too many progressives — eager to tar Trump as a Kremlin product — have been undermining those values.

Already, from witch-hunt legislation in Congress to pernicious media blacklisting, the anti-Russia hysteria — being fueled by the high octane election-intervention storyline — has gained enormous momentum.

Days ago, assessing the momentum of that hysteria, Russian studies scholar Stephen F. Cohen cited some of the key motives propelling it (the first of which touted extremely farfetched  hopes):

*  "One is to reverse the Electoral College vote."

*  "Another is to exonerate the Clinton campaign from its electoral defeat by blaming that instead on Putin and thereby maintaining the Clinton wing's grip on the Democratic Party."

Thus, countless Bernie supporters have been unwittingly strengthening the Clinton wing of the party while beating on the anti-Putin drum.

* "Yet another is to delegitimate Trump even before he is inaugurated. And certainly no less important, to prevent the détente with Russia that Trump seems to seek."

Of all the good reasons to "delegitimate" Trump, alleged Kremlin intervention in the election should rank quite low. Trump's evils are huge, with a very incomplete list including vast greed, pathological lying, contempt for facts, enthusiasm for oligarchy, bigotry, environmental destruction, racism, misogyny, economic injustice, voter suppression and rampant conflicts of interest.

While echoing the anti-Russia themes belted out by Democratic Party officials and loyalists, the chorus on the left may think it's merely grabbing the low-hanging political fruit of this historical moment. But the fruit is already turning rancid, and apt to become poisonous. It won't be the first time in recent decades when liberals and others thought they were being clever and politically adroit as they aided and abetted the suppression of principles found in the First, Fourth and Fifth Amendments, while helping to gear up the machinery of war.

This month, by following the line of the Democratic Party leadership, groups like MoveOn actually have helped to set the stage for pressurizing Trump to deter him from pursuing policies that may be (along with opposition to trade deals such as the TPP) the only ways in which he might be appreciably better than Hillary Clinton would have been as president.

Let's face it: Some of the fierceness of media attacks on Trump, such as from de facto neoconservative liberal-tinged entities like the Washington Post, is propelled by rage that his stance toward Russia lacks the neocon qualities that a Hillary Clinton presidency offered.

To be crystal clear: The election of Donald Trump as president is a horrific disaster, and his regime must be resisted on a vast array of issues with eternal vigilance. And, meanwhile, Vladimir Putin is a repressive ruler.

At the same time, it's a rather glaring omission in the current outraged discourse that the U.S. government, from Egypt and Saudi Arabia to Central Asian nations and beyond, continues to avidly support regimes far worse than Russia's. As for intervening in foreign elections, the CIA has excelled at that anti-democratic game for many decades — and mainline U.S. media outlets have been inclined to nod or even cheer when the American government and allied U.S. operatives succeed in working their will on electorates overseas.

Oh, and must we forget that U.S. efforts to determine the government leaders of other countries have sometimes gone far beyond techniques like hacking and disseminating emails? As Janine Jackson of the media watchdog group FAIR wrote, "in back of it all, what makes the umbrage of elite media so hard to stomach is the hypocrisy. This is, after all, the same elite media that supports outsider-induced 'regime change' anywhere and everywhere they see an official enemy, from Iraq to Honduras to Libya to Syria… You can make 'one law for me, another for thee' your credo, but you can't be too surprised when others are unimpressed."

And Jackson added: "Whatever story there is to be told about Russia and the 2016 election, corporate media have squandered the credibility it would take to tell it."

Now, a crucial choice is right in front of the progressive groups and commentators who've been echoing the anti-Russia barrage from U.S. mass media. Staying on course will help to undermine civil liberties at home and will help to escalate conflicts with Russia that could end with nuclear war. Doesn't sound "progressive" to me.

Hi Justin—I just wanted to make sure you saw Anna's message. There's still time to cast your vote!

Dear MoveOn member,

The Electoral College is meeting in six days to decide who will be the next president of the United States, and we have a critically important decision to make together before that happens: Should MoveOn call on the Electoral College to reject Donald Trump as president of the United States?

This would be a big step for us, but the CIA's reported conclusion that the Russian government actively interfered with the U.S. presidential election—with the goal of helping Trump win—is a big deal.

Before we decide whether to enter this fight, we need your input: Should MoveOn call on the Electoral College to reject Donald Trump as president of the United States?

Yes, MoveOn should call on the Electoral College to reject Trump.

No, I don't agree with this.

Note: Your vote must be received by 11:59pm E.T. on Wednesday, December 14 to be counted. Only your first click will be recorded, so please take care in making your choice.

There were many arguments for the Electoral College to reject Trump, even before the CIA's revelations.

Ethics experts—Republican and Democrat—say that Trump's business entanglements with foreign governments will put him in violation of the U.S. Constitution the minute he's sworn in.2 He has now delayed giving any answers on how he will (or won't) resolve these conflicts until after the Electoral College votes.3

Already, one Republican elector from a state Trump won has said that he will not cast his vote for Trump—and he says there are others who will not either.4

Several lawsuits have been filed to allow electors to vote their conscience without facing fines or legal punishment. A bipartisan group of electors has sent an open letter to intelligence agencies requesting access to classified information on Russian interference in the election—a request that MoveOn is actively supporting.5 And this weekend, Representative Jim Himes became one of the first members of Congress to call for the Electoral College to reject Trump.6

Let's be clear:

  • The MoveOn community overwhelmingly wants to abolish the Electoral College. We believe in "one person, one vote."
  • Given that the Electoral College does exist, there's a strong case that it should serve its constitutional purpose. The Electoral College "was primarily designed to stop a demagogue—a tyrannical mass leader who preys on our prejudices—from becoming President."7 And, as spelled out in the Federalist Papers, to prevent "the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils."8 That's what we will urge the Electoral College to do, if MoveOn members vote to move ahead with this effort.
  • The odds of this effort succeeding in denying Trump the White House are exceedingly small. It would take 37 "conscientious electors" from states that voted for Trump to defeat him.
  • But that doesn't necessarily mean that we shouldn't try. Even a small number of electoral votes against Trump will send a strong message that he does not have a mandate. It will remind Americans that Trump lost the popular vote by 2.8 million votes. It could embolden lawmakers to investigate Russian meddling in the election. And it could strengthen the movement against some of Trump's most shocking nominees, including Rex Tillerson, the long-time CEO of Exxon Mobile, who has deep ties to Vladimir Putin, and John Bolton, the extreme hawk who's being proposed as Tillerson's deputy.

If two-thirds or more of MoveOn members vote "yes," we will mobilize our resources in the remaining time we have—joining with protests in state capitals around the country next Monday, organizing our members to call on specific electors to reject Trump, and more. And in any scenario, we will continue to call for electors to be fully briefed on what the CIA knows before they are asked to vote.

With just six days until the Electoral College meets to elect our next president, we need to decide NOW whether to join the movement calling on the Electoral College to stop Trump. Will you tell us what you think?

Yes, MoveOn should call on the Electoral College to reject Trump.

No, I don't agree with this.

Your vote must be received by 11:59pm E.T. on Wednesday, December 14 to be counted. Only your first click will be recorded, so please take care in making your choice.

Thanks for all you do.

While the United States has not joined the International Criminal Court, the ICC can prosecute U.S. crimes that occur in its member states, such as Afghanistan. The ICC has released a preliminary report on U.S. crimes there.

Thus far, the ICC has only ever indicted Africans, a trend that is leading African states to pull out of the ICC.

We encourage you to also prosecute war crimes by non-Africans including by U.S. war criminals.

The ICC is degrading rather than enhancing the idea of international justice by giving a free pass to Western war makers. The United States has itself given a free pass to its war makers, kidnappers, torturers, and assassins. The U.S. president-elect and his advisors openly plan to violate laws against war, torture, and the targeting of civilians.

The people of the United States and the world need the ICC to fulfill its mission and step in where domestic justice has failed.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand the process here.  It seemed like this could very well be something that was mutually beneficial, but I went to your page, and it seems to say that I am supposed to spend money to audition for you?:

If I got you wrong, I apologize, but if I understand you correctly, what exactly are you smoking?  The fact of the matter is you need our music. Everybody needs our music, but especially you.  This is how it works.  You listen to our music:  https://soundcloud.com/the-waiters-948227981

If you are smart enough to know how special, revolutionary, and perfect our music is, you make us an offer. We review it with our management and legal team, and if it looks good to us, we schedule a meeting with you. You fly us out (on your dollar) and we talk it over.

You are lucky you found us. Play your cards right, and we can do a lot for each other, but don't push me around, sweet talk me, or try to squeeze money out of me at the front end, that is folly.

Subject to a successful audition, SRL Networks will get your independent releases heard by entertainment industry professionals and fans around the world, and help facilitate music licensing and distribution deals, live events bookings, record label and music publisher deals and more. You will receive a detailed agreement once your audition has been successful.

You can find out more about us at www.skunkradiolive.com/backstage and find out how to submit music and obtain your audition ticket at www.skunkradiolive.com/auditions

Please do get in touch, it would be a pleasure to hear from you.
