I've finally achieved consistency in my life. Any person of average or above intelligence can predict what I will say next with unerring accuracy. And what I say will always be wrong.

[ITSALLABOUTMEMAN] WCBN

One of life's ironies: in your discussion of the redesign of the playlist page on WCBN's website, you were talking about the wonderful ability to go back even weeks later and find out what a song was.

I say ironic because the page had a perfectly functional search function that is now gone, and what they have instead is a totally unsearchable feature that only works even marginally if we know what DJ was on duty during the time frame we're searching.

I suppose this is the beginning of the end for me in this town. I can kiss goodbye playing any gigs at any of the places the cool kids hang out. I can forget being selected to ask a question during Q&A next time Noam Chomsky comes to town.  No grants, awards, publicity or whatever.  Because now I'm on my own. In a college town like this one (or Olympia) the lessons you learn in college are how to identify the future deciders, and how to let them decide without comment or opposition. That was true in a hippie college like Evergreen (maybe especially so) and I imagine it's true here.  Everything is supposed to hailed as progress, even if it's regression. But I can't help myself. It's a damn shame.

I haven't been able to stream the station online either for months, and can't get it on my home radio, so I can only listen to it in the car. I've explained this to station management already (I guess that was the beginning of the end, and now I'm in the middle of the end) and how I'd probably be listening to the station all the time, if only to get away from the vile swamp of Neoliberal Propaganda Radio, but they couldn't be bothered to respond. Do they care if anybody listens, really?  They get paid either way. No doubt that I'm riff raff out here in Ypsitucky.

I like your show. I'd like to like your station as much as I used to. Even more if there were actual progress, and not regression.
