A very interesting and useful article. Too many people go around trying to run down great artists by making up bad stories about them. They say that Michael Jackson molested children. They said the same thing about Gary Glitter, and they are starting to say the same thing about Rolf Harris, and Roy Harper. Harper’s friend Jimmy Page so far hasn’t been accused of that, I’m glad the open minded can understand a rock star can have a consensual relationship with a 14 year old. They try to tell us that David Crosby, James Brown, and Kurt Cobain mixed drugs and firearms! They say that about Elvis too. Get this, they say that Kurt Cobain killed himself. That’s silly, nobody ever found a body, I think he’s forming a band with that other guy that disappeared, the guy from the Manic Street Sweepers.
I hope that you will consider doing a similar analysis of the life and work of another gravely misunderstood artist, GG Allin. Like Tupac, he was accused of sexual assault and served time; like Tupac, it was all trumped up to keep him from sharing his message of empowerment and possitivity. They say he died of a drug overdose, but the truth is he died while wrassling with a box-cutting wielding terrorist on a hijacked airplane. Had he prevailed, the whole plane load of people would have been saved. At least he tried.
I wrote a song about the REAL GG Allin. I hope the true message will get some traction, maybe you can help. https://soundcloud.com/wacky-moose/tribute-to-gg-allin
