I'm sure that my comments must violate their "community standards" by dissing Jann Wenner, who greatly enjoys his access power - a link on the page of this miserable article boasts of his talk with Obama. Not that Obama is going to say "Jann, I'm cutting you off, I read a negative comment about myself on one of your articles."
No, but Wenner runs a tight ship, like so many of those 60s survivors that are more uptight and control freaks than their parents ever were. Top to bottom, full spectrum dominance, that's the way things are done these days, and with unprecedented ability to monitor information, with unprecedented amounts of information flowing through a few giant pipelines, it's never been easier to punish the outspoken, and reward the servile.
If I ever get on Wenner's radar, I've ruined my chance forever to get into his "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame." I'm doing this for the world, hope it appreciates it.
Anyway, my comment:
Apparently millions of people were not paying attention. Not paying attention to Obama's voting record when he was in the Senate, not paying attention when he said the recent president he admired the most was Ronald Reagan. Obama has done a wonderful job of being a Republican President, like the 3rd Bush term (per many Bush Admin members, several of them now working for Obama), like Reagan that he admired so much, like Nixon... he falls short of Pappy, who did something no other recent presidents (including Obama) have done - tried to draw some boundaries around Israel's criminality. I don't envy Dickenson, when the boss is a rich and powerful man and he says "give the president a blowjob" you don't have much choice. Been there, done that, value my current independence almost as much as life itself.
