I've finally achieved consistency in my life. Any person of average or above intelligence can predict what I will say next with unerring accuracy. And what I say will always be wrong.

[ItsAllAboutMeMan] Re: Talk

Hello, Sweet Yinka,

Please get back up on your feet, no need to kneel over such a trivial matter. Please don't callous your pretty knees asking my forgiveness regarding the pictures, I can think of better ways for you to get callouses on your knees.

Searching under furniture for my lost guitar pics, for example. I buy dozens of them, but never seem to be able to keep them around for long. I think that they disappear into another dimension, like socks. It must be a two way portal, because it is a certainty that if you throw away the remaining sock, the first one will reappear in a matter of days. Similarly, have you ever noticed how pennies seem to breed, until you need one, and then they are nowhere to be found?  I am thinking of using my recently discovered intelligence to write a book bout this. Do you think "The Secret Lives of Inanimate Objects" would be a good title for it?  I've come to rely on you so already, dear one.

Guinness, imagine that! I toured the Guinness factory in Dublin earlier this year. It is mind boggling how huge of a facility it is, covering many city blocks! I have fond memories of my Ireland trip, It inspired me to write many songs. Perhaps I'll gather them together in a single album some day. It would be interesting to collaborate with the Chieftains on the music. I would invite them, but I don't know how to reach them currently.  Now if I had my own slave on site, I would just delegate this part of the job, and soon Paddy and his pals and me would be cutting up a rug, as they say, and also tearing up the fretboards.

If you enjoy beer, you will like it here in Michigan. We've most stopped making cars, which makes the people and the economy depressed. However, we put the love and passion we used to put into making cars into making beer, and there is a variety of wonderful beers here.  My favorite is a dark, dark beer, like an imperial stout, called Dragon's Milk. It comes from the New Holland Brewery on the other side of the state.

When I was in Melbourne, Australia this year, I ate at an Ethiopian restaurant with my friend Leslie.  I had an Ethiopian beer, Meta, that was wonderful. I was hoping you had an interesting local brew that you could tell me about. I've already tried to pitch a jingle to Guinness without success - they were rather rude, actually, they say they have an agency they work with exclusively, and don't even listen to unsolicited material.  A smaller concern might be keener to give me a shot.

My day has been rewarding so far, I'm working online with a wonderful vocalist in England who is helping me get a good recording of a song I co-wrote with my friend Boris years ago, about my experiences in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It's called "Paulista Avenue," and i think it will turn some ears around when people hear it.

Now what can I say about The Metaluna Mutants?  They are my favorite creatives to collaborate with.  They are a team of crack musical specialists, each the absolute tops at their craft. We are beginning to make a global impact; we are very big in Iraq, if you can, please watch this video from one of the top radio stations in Iraq:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFMrEm9TGIY

My friend Adebayo Babatunde is working to get us airplay in Nigeria. I'm curious, is your school near Lagos?  Do you have radios at your College?  Perhaps someday soon you will be hearing The Metaluna Mutants played on the radio.

Do you have an opinion on the ethics of paying for airplay?  I value your opinion most highly.

But getting back to The Metaluna Mutants, in addition to being top musicians, they are kind and generous, too. They are willing to play many charity gigs to raise money for your securemement and relocation, and ask for no service from you in return.

The are masters of overcoming adversity, self-reliant and resourceful.  As my friend and fell band member Astronauta Pinquim said, "If life gives you a lemon, make for a baby lick, film and put on youtube."

A very good idea, that's why I put the recording of Metaluna Mutants on 99.3, Babylon.FM on YouTube!
