this story reminds me of something that happened to me the other day.  I was trying to type on my computer, only I forgot that I was holding a hammer in each hand. I smashed the keyboard to pieces, and I was starting to pound my way through the desktop when my wife came in and tried to stop me. I hammered her left leg right off, just below the knee.

I felt pretty bad when i visited her in the hospital and she asked "when will my leg grow back?" but I felt even worse when I got back home and found she was knitting a billboard for me with the message "I love you, Matt" on it.

So I committed suicide, but i think i had some real provocation... I mean, who hasn't wrenched off a few of a child's fingers once in a while?
