[CanYoAssDigIt] Mrs. Spiderman on TV

I am watching a very young Kirstin Dunst on a Star Trek: The Next
Generation on SPIKE. They air this program between commercials for
ultimate fighting commercials.

Just thought you'd like to know.

[CanYoAssDigIt] They are finally starting to tell the truth about Jessica Lynch...

and she has come out and started telling the truth. I just saw her
testifying. She mocked the story of "the little girl Rambo" that the
US military invented.

She sure is cute!

And Pat Tillman's bro is steamed.

You'd think the Tillmans would be happy to learn that he was killed by
friendly fire. I mean, friendly fire just sounds like it would be so
much nicer than enemy fire. Softer bullets or something.

[CanYoAssDigIt] Re: [PlansFromOuterSpace] Ed Wood Role Playing Game

Hey Kyle, while I think this is a pretty cool idea, this here is a penis enlargement and get your degree in the mail site. Why are you posting stuff relating to Ed Wood here?

Dear Ed Wood Fans;

I've begun a new Role playing game with a very small group.
remakably everyone thinks it might be interesting to play
characters like those from Ed Wood's films.

I think I've got a good handle on a "Tor Johnson" like character
but the others kind of elude me.

Criswell. Bunny Breckenridge. Kelton.

I could use any ideas you guys might have.

[CanYoAssDigIt] Rock and Roll Hall of Shame

As somebody who records for Kill Rock Stars, do you suppose that in
the middle of this all-star jam, Ronnie Spector pulled out a knife and
attempted to kill Sammy Hagar?

I just find it bizarre that they will put a marginal figure like Patti
Smith, and even more marginal figures like the Ronettes in the Rock
and Roll hall of fame, but year after year they snub Yes. Love them or
hate them, they were an extremely important band, and they moved a
hell of a lot of product for the industry. As somebody who loves
them, I think they recorded several masterpieces.

I love the Ronettes songs, too (both of them) but the Ronettes without
Phil Spector are like Milli Vinilli without hair extensions.

*****

R.E.M. Inducted into Hall of Fame: If you missed it (and that's
understandable due to the ceremony's length), R.E.M. was inducted into
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday, March 12. The band was
inducted by Eddie Vedder with a touching and humorous - if somewhat
lengthy - speech. The band then thanked tons of the people who helped
them, gave a shoutout to those of us watching in Athens at the Melting
Point and proceeded to play "Begin the Begin," "Gardening at Night,"
(dedicated to Michael's father) and "Man on the Moon," before a
rendition of The Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and fellow inductee
Patti Smith's "People Have the Power." The former was a bit of a kick
to the Hall's voters, who didn't vote in The Stooges, who were up for
this year's class. The latter was an all-star jam that included the
odd combination of the likes of R.E.M., Patti Smith, Sammy Hagar,
Stephen Stills, Keith Richards, the Ronnettes, and Eddie Vedder.

[CanYoAssDigIt] Re: [Bizarro_UltraZine] Boris Yeltsin Dies -- Bush calls him "The Great Emancipator"

The dumbshits at the Jim Laher report on PBS are discussing the legacy of Yeltsin. They love him in the west because he laid the country open for foreign exploitation, but they dont love him there because he turned over public assets to individuals who did nothing to earn them, they weren't self-made men like Bill Gates.

I'm not lying. That is exactly what the guy said.  That is the real legacy of the cold war - all the resources in both countries concentrated in the hands of a few pirates, and make no mistake, that is what Gates is, one of the biggest - he inherited or stole everything that he has.

And the useful idiots on "Public" television once again show their absolute contempt for the public - for our interests, and our intelligence.

Why do I even bother?

Russian Leader Boris Yeltsin Dies

AP
MOSCOW (April 23) -- Former President Boris Yeltsin, who hastened the collapse of the Soviet Union by scrambling atop a tank to rally opposition against a hard-line coup and later pushed Russia to embrace democracy and a market economy, died Monday at age 76.
At the White House, President Bush called him "The Great Emanciprator," adding that "Yeltsin emancipertated the Russians from Commie slavery."

The first freely elected leader of Russia, Yeltsin was initially admired abroad for his defiance of the monolithic Communist system. But many Russians will remember him mostly for presiding over the steep decline of their nation.

Yeltsin was a contradictory figure, rocketing to popularity in the Communist era on pledges to fight corruption -- but proving unable, or unwilling, to prevent the looting of state industry as it moved into private hands during his nine years in power.

President Bush quipped, "It seems the Russians adopted the American Way of government too well."

Yeltsin amassed as much power as possible in his office - then gave it all up in a dramatic New Year's address at the end of 1999. His greatest moments came in bursts.

Paris Hilton commented, "my best dates came in spurts, too!"

Yeltsin damaged his democratic credentials by using force to solve political disputes, though he claimed his actions were necessary to keep the country together. In December 1994, Yeltsin launched a war against separatists in the southern republic of Chechnya. Tens of thousands of people were killed in the Chechnya conflict, and a defeated and humiliated Russian army withdrew at the end of 1996. The war solved nothing -- and Russian troops resumed fighting in the breakaway region in fall 1999.

President Bush commented, "You might say that Chechnya was Yeltsin's Iraq.  He didn't have an exit strategy either."

[CanYoAssDigIt] Re: [JohnnieTV] So.......

I'm sorry that I've been neglecting my Johnnie TV activities, I have creative work of my own, and I had a hard drive crash, a real heartbreaker.

I don't speak for Johnnie TV, and I don't know that I really have his ear. But unless and until YouTube relents, I'd advise him to post videos on some of the many sites that are trying to nip at YouTube's heels.  It's true that nobody equals YouTube in its reach, but Johnnie doesn't need to be silenced.  I think that the world is a better place when we have new Johnnie TV to watch, and it makes me more angry than I can say that there are people out there who have such tiny hateful lives that they can't stand somebody else enjoying themselves... and for liking entertainment that isn't sanctioned by People Magazine and TV guide.

But the damage has been done, and it's time to move on.

In my opinion, people that like Johnnie's shows don't watch them for the classic rock or the pinup girls at the start of the show, or event he video responses, which are really a small part of the program.  They like the show because of Johnnie! The cards, shirts off, the shout outs - it's brilliant stuff and I always looked forward to see what Johnnie was going to add next.

There are ways to avoid charges of copyright violation. Lots of girls that post pictures of themselves on Ringo that would be proud to be featured in a Johnnie video.  There are many bands on SoundClick that would be proud to have Johnnie play their songs, to comment on them, to sing along with them.  There are lots of people that would love to scout for this kind of talent to bring to Johnnie's attention, to help with releases.

When Johnnie is posting new vids, people who are still on the inside at YouTube like Agency Films and Weezie63 can point people to the new location. If my hard drive can be recovered, I'll have access again to contact information for hundreds of Johnnie's YouTube subscribers (I built a mailing list to contact people to join this list).  I can advertise the new location of the films.

If I had Johnnie's ear.  I'd advise him to do these things.
