It's very sad and interesting that you are in the situation that you are in. Earlier this year, exactly the same thing happened to 2 of my friends, Leslie Morris of Melbourne, Australia, Leslie Morris on February 9th and a Facebook friend of mine, Michelle Kupiec of Middleburg Heights, OH on February 13. They were both mugged in London, not Scotland, but the circumstances were exactly the same - see the transcript of my chat with Michelle:

i came down here to London,England for a short vacation to visit a resort and got mugged at gun point last night at the park of the hotel where we lodged

I had to tell her "no" - my money is all tied up, in our house in Edmonton. However, I have an idea that may generate a little income, I'll split it evenly between Michelle, Leslie, you, and me (because I had this idea). This is how I explained it to Michelle:

Hi Michelle

It's an amazing coincidence, but my friend Leslie Morris, the famous Australian film director, went to London and got mugged, too! This reminded me of your unfortunate experience in London, so much (see attached).

Do you know if they still run "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" in the newspapers? I want to send this one to them, they'll flip! They'll probably want to send me money. Maybe if its used on their TV program, they'll send me even more. I'll share it with you of course, you probably need it, you had a very expensive trip!

I'm sorry for this odd request because it might get to you too urgent but it's because of the situation of things right now,I'm stuck in Edinburgh Scotland right now,I came down here on business/seminar , I was attacked on my way to the hotel I lodged while the road is nto safe with so much snow all over the street, although I wasn't hurt because I complied immediately but my mobile phone and luggage were stolen.
