Thanks so much for your donation. I don't know how you got through before the campaign even went live, but I'm glad you did, and grateful. I'm certain everybod is going to have a good time

Are you donating at the 1, 5, or 49 dollar level?  I'm thinking about setting up a new level, where people can donate 4995.00, and watch the show from a folding chair on the stage, maybe get a TV dinner with it  What do you think abut that idea?

This is getting very convoluted. You are now asking me to jump through a
lot of hoops because your online verification failed. You asked me to tell
you the name of an address I was associated with in Tumwater (510 Bates
Street), on Anderson island (11015 Eckenstam-Johnson Road, in Wenatchee
(2296 Love Lane - my family even has a road named after them!) and to tell
you the name of my former employer (Washington State Department of
Transportation. In each case, i answered the questions correctly, and then
it said I couldn't verify who I was. So next it scanned my drivers
licence. Twice. I didn't fail to identify myself, you failed to identify
me, despite all the evidence I provided.

Thanks to your failure to understand the information I gave you, you have
now given me a whole new set of hurdles to jump, and they aren't easy. My
wife handles all the finances, and she does it online. She also has a
different last name than me, so any documents of the kind you suggest
won't prove to you that I'm who I say I am.

I offer the attached documents as an alternative:

1 A photograph of a package to me from the Elektronmusikstudion (EMS) in
Stockholm Sweden. Having met me in person, they had no problem believing it
was me at this address, nor did the Swedish and US postal services have any
trouble identifying me as me.

2. My drivers license. I'm not sure why it came out upside down, and I
apologize for that, but upside down or right side up, that's a document
that identifies me, and places me at this address. I can also give you
contact information for over 100 Brazilians who can vouch for me. That is
somewhat less than the 100 bazillion references you might prefer, but I
hope it suffices.

Fortunately we can still verify your identity manually. To do that, just respond to this email with a scan or legible picture of a government issued ID (driver's license, passport, etc.) and one of the following that bears your name and address:

- A utility bill, or final demand, or reminders dated within the last three months.
- A tax return dated within the last twelve months.
- A current tenancy letter or rental agreement from a local council, housing association, or letting agency dated within the last twelve months.
- A bank statement dated within the last three months.

Apologies for any added inconvenience (we know scanning in documents can be a pain), but verifying that you are who you say you are keeps things safe for creators (no one else runs a project under your name) as well as backers (they know the person behind the project they're backing is real).

Dear NFL bosses,

I contacted you a few days about about my campaign to raise money to be selected as the performer for the 2015 Superbowl. But it won't be the story of Superbowl 2015, so don't worry about that.

I say: I love the internet, that's why I live most of my life there. So many people just looking to pick a fight. Even on Craig's List, bless em. I thought it was kind of obvious that the Mobster Band, whoever they are, were expressing a preference to work with a vocalist without massive substance abuse problems. I don't think anybody in their right mind would want Amy Winehouse in their band, especially about three weeks after her death (when this exchange took place). Dead people don't contribute much to a band's sound, and addicted people usually don't do much better.
