I'm really getting off on Talenthouse, because it allows me to show off the whole range of my creativity. I hope to be the first person to win in art, music, dance and film catagories.  And Underwater Basketweaving, my major at The Evergreen State College (hippie college in Olympia).  For this particular project (contest to design the animated title sequence for the movie "Animal Charm"), they wanted animation, so I submitted a film I made about four years ago, using for its subject matter a musical performance of a friend of mine and mine from about 30 years ago. jeez how time flies.

I told my friend that when I win, I'll bring him on board and we'll work on it together. Dog Boy and Big Baby will ride again!

Invited as i was on Talenthouse to submit an example of my animation abilities with the chance of creating the opening animation sequence to a major motion picture, I submitted "I'm getting so bored" by the world famous rock sensations Big Baby and Dog Boy.

Hey Nick,

Thanks for the supplemental kind words! I knew it could have been better, I was ready to bust some new moves that I've been keeping from the public, and Anne had been recruited as my videographer... then I remembered I already had this.

I was working on a song (via skype) with a friend in Ukraine... he was working out a keyboard part, I was bored waiting. I noticed the strange and interesting moiré patterns on the screen, so I decided to film it... I moved around sensuously to provide some action.

I might redo my submission with a better recorded dance sequence (and better costume, I like your Fred Flintstone idea a lot)... but I don't know if I'll get around to it, I've moved onto a new challenge, this one has a lot more commercial potential... the UK songwriting contest (you don't have to be from UK to enter)

It was the usual thing, of course you, get the entry all ready to go, and then on the final screen, they tell you there's a fee for it - £15. I'm going to go on Kickstarter and try to raise the money there!

After Novartis released WheresFlu, a smartphone app that tracks the spread of the flu, dozens of blogs about home and family (known as mommy blogs) started posting glowing reviews of its functionality and utility despite the fact that "the data on it was plainly contradictory and the thing had virtually no functionality after you inputted your zip code," according to online business magazine BNET. It turns out that the praising blogs are sponsored by the pharmaceutical company, and each review finishes with a small disclaimer about its sponsorship. While pharma-sponsored promotions may seem unethical to some, founder of MomTrends blogs Nicole Feliciano disagrees. "Some may view sponsored posts as selling out," she responded to BNET. "We don't. We think well-executed posts have a place in our community."
