It is amazing to reflect that the Obama administration, as
monumentally disappointing as it has aready proven to be (even to a
skeptic like me) may yet cause the morally grotesque Hillary Clinton
to look better than she really is, by handing her a brief that that
may force her to act in the semblance of a civilized person
(admittedly, there are a lot of "mays" in the equation.
The Bush Administration, on the other hand, forced the morally
grotesque Condolezza Rice to look even worse than she already was:
"...Israeli Prime Minister Omert bragged to Israeli citizens and the
press about about he made Bush dance to his tune by interrupting a
speech Bush was making in Philadelphia and telling Bush to humiliate
the inept Condolezza Rice by forcing her to abstain on the UN
resolution calling for a halt in fighting in Gaza -- a resolution that
she had helped to draft, presumably with Bush's blessing."
I don't suppose we will ever have a decent, competent government. It
is sad that the population goes wild with joy over the prospect of an
administration that may take us back to the golden (by comparison)
days of Bubba or Pappy.
