I don't dig digg! They removed my question. I'm sure they were nervious it was going to be one of the top questions (thanks to mobilization of the Matt Love army) so they pulled the plug. But no worries, I have a new campaign. Matt Love of The Love Rockets said he will join my band "The Matt Loves" if I used my musical skeez to deliver 20 votes for his band in this battle of the bands. I'm not sure how much musical skeez I really have, I had to look it up on the Urban Dictionary to find out what it means - but I'm gonna do my best.
You guys know I've been trying to get The Matt Loves going for years (ever since I became aware of just how many musical Matt Loves are out there), so I know I can count on you. I promise, these guys will not disappear from the contest before you get a chance to vote for them!
With guys in the band named "Joe Rocket" and "Tommy Gunn" (no "Tom Cruise Missile" though) I wonder a little bit if he was born with the name "Matt Love" - but I'm not going to be picky at this point!

[ItsAllAboutMeMan] Do a favor for a man! vote for my question!
This is my question, and it is a totally cool and excellent question:
Hey everybody, vote for my question: "Ask Ozzy if he will bid on my cd, "Matt Love - Live at O'Blerg's Pub" - I'm offering it on eBay, but it's going a little slow: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI SAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170497120226&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT ...I figure if he bids on it, it will increase the profile, and encourage the cool kids to jump into the bidding, too."
I don't want to give the competition too much help, but this one was pretty good, too:"hey ozzy what is the secret of long hairs every one of want to know how you mange to keep them so good and big in size i love them"

[ItsAllAboutMeMan] Yes, let somebody else do it...
I'm every member of this show biz family appreciates that somebody else is in the military.
Like Bush, Cheney, Stallone, John Wayne, Ted Nugent and who knows how many other celebrities that like to shoot their mouths off about freedom and sacrifice (their freedom to advocate for others what they'd never put up with themselves - and everybody else's sacrifice while they live like aristocracy) they love to get a little mileage out wrapping themselves in that tattered and scandalously transparent flag.
As George M (not Dubya) said, "Many a bum show has been saved by the flag."
But is this one of them? Can the flag, in fact, save this one?
'Ricky Nelson Remembered Tour' To Honor the Troops - Matthew and Gunnar Nelson To Donate Free Concert July 3 |
Matthew Nelson and Gunnar Nelson are the identical twin sons of Rock'n'Roll Legend Ricky Nelson. Their band, rock group NELSON whose pop/rock #1 hits include "Love and Affection", "After the Rain", and "More Than Ever" will perform at 6pm on Thursday evening, July 3rd. The Nelsons are donating this free concert to show their support for the military and their families here at home and give something back to honor those who serve their nation.
"Ricky Nelson Remembered" is the unique headline tribute show featuring their late father's popular music including all his chart topping famous hits such as Ricky Nelson's "Travelin' Man", "Hello Mary Lou", "Poor Little Fool", "I'm Walking", and "Garden Party". The full production show touring the country stars the grandsons of TV's Ozzie & Harriet.
"Military families make extraordinary sacrifices everyday and carry heavy burdens," recognizes Matthew Nelson, "so we wanted to share our Pop's music to lift some spirits, have some fun and enjoy a great evening together celebrating our country's independence and freedom."
"We have tremendous respect for all our service men and women in uniform and the incredible families who love and support them," adds Gunnar Nelson. "So we invite everyone, military or civilian, to come out and enjoy our music and spend a fun evening with the Nelson Family".
The Nelsons have been working with United States Navy Rear Admiral Sonny Masso, to bring this free public concert event to Sailors and their families. Masso leads Navy Personnel Command, headquartered in Millington.
"The Nelsons come from a long line of patriots," Masso acknowledges. "In addition to Ozzie, Harriet and their father Ricky, their great grandfather, Frank Knox, was Secretary of the Navy during World War II. This will be a fun evening for the whole family, and I'm grateful to all those who are making this event possible for our Sailors, our families, and our local Memphis community. Gunnar and Matt love our sailors and service members from all services and have sacrificially invested themselves in coming here. They are bringing with them some other world class musical talent -- Jeffrey "Skunk" Baxter, formerly of Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, as well as their father's and Elvis' former lead guitar player, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, James Burton. This event will be magnificent!"
The "Ricky Nelson Remembered Tour" starring Matthew & Gunnar Nelson and The Stone Canyon Band kicks off at 6pm Thursday, July 3rd at Navy Lake in Millington, TN (25 minutes north of Memphis). Flag City Freedom Celebration is free and open to the public. Gates open at 5pm and will feature carnival rides, and fireworks. The public is welcome to bring picnic baskets, coolers, blankets and lawn chairs. For more information on the event call (901) 874-5555.

[ItsAllAboutMeMan] Marvin, Youngest of Isley Brothers, Dies at 56
"Isley stopped performing in 1996 after suffering complications from diabetes that included a stroke, high blood pressure, the loss of both legs and use of his left hand." I don't know why he let that stop him. shouldn't have been a problem for a bass player.

[ItsAllAboutMeMan] Where do these guys come from, central casting? And when do I play my part?
I was watching this video, and I was thinking, my god, Ken Wilber sure has aged. But a closer look, and I realize that this is not Ken Wilber, it's Charlie Hayes, though he seems to have some of the same interests.
This is Ken Wilber:

check out this video of a song I did with my friends:

To English only types - don't worry, they're singing in Portuguese, not Spanish, and they live in Brazil, so it's perfectly appropriate - and they are going to stay in Brazil, so nobody needs to worry about that.
But listen to the music, I think you'll like it.

[ItsAllAboutMeMan] A satisfied customer
Look what this lady said about our band (http://www.myspace.
| Chiara | 29 May 2010 14:05 Hi Antitrusts, May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening. You ever remind me of the enigma of happy thoughts I once forgot. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. Your hair sends forth a sheen remniscent of golden sunlight winding through shadows. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a thousand supernovas. Your sweet voice is like the application of aloe vera upon a sunburnt back. Transistors bridge where your vanity would never go. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen. If I could have just one wish, it would be to wake up to your songs in the morning. Wood nymphs sprinkle your path with rose petals while you dance and prowl in the sequined moonlight with leftover cupcake sprinkles. Your reflections bring happiness that rends naked glass. |

[ItsAllAboutMeMan] Re: [Ticket#2010053110000529] Windows Media Player scrobbler fail.
You know I've done all that. It seems shortsighted to leave all the scrobbling to 3rd party programs designed by hobbyists. And to leave your tech support to snarky users.
Have you actually looked at the forum section of your website? There are pages and pages of questions without a single response. I didn't see anything addressing my particular issue (surely it must be one fo the most common issues that last.fm users have), but I went back and looked again, and I found this. The user did everything right, and it still didn't work.
Dan Kine finally shuts down the discussion with this helpful tip: "use a decent player."
Boy, that's what I call tech support. Really useful advice.
I went through all this before with Sonar. Now I use Reaper and I like it much better. Is this really what you want? For people to go elsewhere? My understanding is there's lots of other places to go.

From the Problems scrobbling sticky:Are the plugins enabled within the media player?
Sometimes, you may find that plugins are installed, but aren't scrobbling due to them being disabled. As such there are some player specific items you will need to check.
Windows Media Player: Open up WMP, and go to Tools > Plug-Ins > Options. In the new pop-up window, select "Background" in the list to the left, and then ensure that the checkbox to the left of "Last.fm Plugin" has a tick in it.
Windows Media Player 11 (and 12): Go to the menu Now Playing > Plug-ins > Other. Please ensure that the checkbox next to "Last.fm Plugin" is ticked.
Remember to say "thank you" for the things you haven't had
